Changemaker Spotlight: Deborah L. Plummer, PhD., Getting to We

This month we are honored to spotlight Deborah L. Plummer, PhD. Debbie cultivates peaceful community and inclusivity, working tirelessly to build bridges and trust across racial lines. Wearing many hats—psychologist, author, university professor, speaker, and more—her work focuses on topics central to racial equality, inclusion, and mutual respect. 

Debbie is the founder and executive director of Getting To We—an organization with the goal of helping people understand their core identity as humans and how to become better humans for other humans. She is also principal consultant at D.L. Plummer & Associates Partners, supporting organizations and communities to leverage differences in order to drive their missions and achieve their objectives. Born and raised in the Glenville neighborhood, she continues to call the Cleveland area home.

Getting To We has an upcoming Bridging, Bonding & Building Women’s Social Trust Retreat, April 18 – 20, at Tri-C Corporate College East. This retreat offers participants a transformative, competency-building, fun experience designed to enhance social trust among women invested in gender solidarity to advance racial equity.
